Cartesian Diver (AVI-MC-1212)

It is to demonstrate the transmission of pressure by a liquid. Approx 35 mm long (hollow figure made of glass with one fine opening, to float upright in water filled glass cylinder). When the diver is placed in a glass jar full of water it floats. When a stopper or membrane is fitted on top of cylinder, changing the pressure within the Jar, the diver will sink or rise depending on the pressure applied. Supplied without cylinder.

Weighed Glass Bulb (AVI-MC-1213)

A glass bulb 40 mm dia approx. lead shots content is adjusted so that bulb floats in cold water and sinks in hot water.

Hare's Apparatus (AVI-MC-1214)

This apparatus is used to compare the densities of liquids, comprises of three limbed glass tube side limbs 45 cms long I rubber tubing on the centre limb closed by mohr clip. Mounted on wooden stand with a 45 cm long scale on both limbs with zero at bottom. The densities of liquid are compared by measuring heights of the two columns of the liquid by applying suction to centre limb.

Combined U-Tube and Hare's Apparatus (AVI-MC-1215)

Comprising a glass U-tube 50cm long x 1cm dia. mounted on one side of the stand. Hare's apparatus consisting of a three limbed tube, the central limb fitted with rubber tubing and Mohr clip and the two outer limbs connected to glass tubes 40cm long x 1cm dia mounted on the other side, provided with pointers.

Scale 0 to 50cm x 1mm, fixed to each side of the stand, Overall height 55cm.
